Bad Hofgastein este un oras din districtul St. Johann im Pongau din Salzburg, Austria, in valea „Gasteiner Tal”, aproape de faimosul Bad Gastein la altitudinea de 850 m. Aici vara se pot parcurge trasee turistice, iar iarna se poate face schi. Baile termale de aici sunt printre cele mai cunoscute. Este un orasel atragator, cu o atmosfera alpina, in zona pietonala cu numeroase magazine, restaurante si pensiuni. In mijlocul orasului gasim un business center si o baie termala Alpentherme, inconjurat de un parc de 120.000 mp.

Statiunea de schi Bad Hofgastein face parte din zona de schi Gastein si are acces la 38 de partii individuale. Pe langa schi in Bad Hofgastein (175 km de piste amenajate), cu un abonament la teleferic puteti merge pe partiile din celelalte statiuni: Bad Gastein, Dorfgastein, Graukogel si Sportgastein.

Snowboarderii sunt asteptati in zona cu half-pipe de 90m pe Kreuzkogel, nenumarate posibilitati de off-piste, downhill si mogul. Snowparkul este una dintre cele mai bune din zona.

Reteaua de partii din valea Gastein apartine de regiunea Ski Amade, acces catre 860 km de partiie, 270 instalatii pe cablu cu 1 singur skipass regional.

La peste 2.000m altitudine, acoperirea cu zapada este in general permanenta. Cantitatea de zapada se poate mari cu ajutorul a 120 de tunuri de zapada.

Cele 13 teleferice din Bad Hofgastein transporta 25,000 de persoane pe ora.

Aeroportul este la doua ore distanta.
